Hello again - December is so busy isn't it? even if like me you prefer to do all the decorations cards etc neare the time. I have started to watch some Christmassy films though to ease myself gently into the festive mood, not sure I like the word "festive" though. Last week I watched "The Bishop's Wife" a black & white Hoolywood movioe starring David Niven, Cary Grant and Loretta Young - I can highly recommend it.
Anyway the supper is made, husband not home till later so I might put on "A Christmas Carol" the one with Patric Stewart as Ebeneezer Scrooge.
Can't do anymore crochet today as my hands are aching, have done quite a lot this week! Another friend is learning and is hooked - a few of my friends and I are planning a "Knit & natter" group for the new year - but of course ours will be crochet so need to think of a more apt but fun title - any suggestions?
Just a friendly little blog about my little corner of the world, old books, old films, poetry, cats, countryside, crafts etc ! Hope you enjoy your visit, it would be wonderful if you could leave a comment, Thank you and take care Angela

Sweet November
Hello again, I don't know about you but I do like months and weather to be suited? This November has been just right- mild and misty and colourful. Beauty and calmness before winter settles upon us. Some days we need to make a fire and others it's quite warmish - lovely dreamy misty mornings and slanting sunlight - I've always like this last month os autumn
"Sweet November - though you're grey,
You're kinder than April and sweeter than May" I don't know the author and it may be from a film of the same title
Take care, Angela >^..^<

Misty Morn
Hello again - did you enjoy Bonfire Night? I like to watch the colours and the rockets from the safety of the house, we stayed in with the animals I'm afraid. Only our dog "Little Bess" was a bit nervous, the cats did what cats do and slept throught it! The misty fields are behind our house, it is a lovely view whatever the weather, it more than makes up for the busy road at the front. Hope you have had a good and restful weekend because it's Monday again tomorrow, I am working at home in the morning but have the last of the green tomatoes to make into chutney. I do enjoy making it but not peeling and chopping the onions though, no doubt the naughty kitten "DizzyMint" will inspect the proceedings (see pics) Take care & bye for now, Angela

Hi there :) what a busy week of doing allsorts I have had, interspersed with bouts of admin and housework. We have an understanding my husband and I , that if I insist on having four cats and a dog then He insists I hoover the entire house "every day" ...... I am currently doing it every other and he doesn't seem to have cottoned on yet. I have also (unbeknown to himself of course) made enquiries about another kitten for next year =^..^= A friend of mine breeds British Blue cats and since I held on of those squishy cuddly bear-cats the idea won't go away. Meanwhile "DizzyMint" has been very attentive to my crochet blanket project !! She is usually very naughty but seems to have admirable respect for my work - she only lies at the side - maybe she is impressed? In the first photo she seems to be sayong "Pleeease Mummy can I choose the next colour?) Bye for now - as I am so very new to this blogging I won't stay too long but will post again very soon Take care =^..^= Angela x

later
Here's a little look at the crochet blanket - inspired by Lucy on http://www.attic24/ though very different colours I am using. Time for a cup of tea and a couple more rows !! It's quite addictive and as you can change to a different colour for each row it is quite exciting in a woolly autumn kind of way =^..^=
Autumn morning
Hello there!- This is my first blog on a wonderful blustery autumn morning - the lovely woody smell and swirling leaves make me want to get out there with the dog. Throw a few sticks, rustle through the leaves and look forward to a lovely cup of tea when back home.
Look out for my next post, who knows what will be there as I am a self confessed "Jill of all trades" i.e. I start lots of projects, crafts, collections but do I ever finish anything?? We'll see........just doing a bit of colourful crochet whilst two naughty pussy cats are play fighting on the rug =^..^=
